Introducing Admitted Cyber Insurance Coverage from At-Bay
Helping small businesses meet digital risk head-on
Today, we’re announcing the launch of our Admitted Cyber insurance product. Currently available in 47 states, Admitted Cyber makes At-Bay policies even more accessible and affordable for small businesses.
In order to thrive in today’s unprecedented cyberthreat landscape, small businesses need comprehensive cyber insurance coverage just as much as their larger counterparts. That’s why At-Bay, the InsurSec provider for the digital age, is launching our admitted product: to help these underserved businesses meet digital risk head-on.
While our flagship Surplus Cyber insurance product offers customization and flexibility for businesses with more complex digital assets and coverage needs, this new Admitted product complements our Surplus product by meeting the needs of a different sector of the market.
Now, businesses that don’t require all the bells and whistles of a Surplus policy can access At-Bay’s insurance coverage and industry-leading security services with an Admitted Cyber policy.
Accessible, Affordable Cyber Coverage
Because our Admitted Cyber insurance product is available to all current and new distribution partners over API, it’s more accessible to more businesses. Admitted policies are simpler, more affordable, and better suited for standard cyber risk compared to Surplus policies, which tend to be more bespoke for specific risks and often require personal underwriter involvement.
Our Admitted Cyber appetite closely mirrors the eligible business classes in our Surplus appetite but focuses specifically on the small business community. We offer up to $1 million in aggregate limits to businesses up to $25 million in revenue with a unique web domain (or up to $5 million in revenue with no domain).
Same Security Expertise For Which At-Bay Is Known
With our Admitted product, At-Bay provides the same industry-leading security services we’re known for on the Surplus side. Our brokers can also leverage At-Bay’s security expertise to speak confidently to clients about their cyber risk and security posture.
For applicants who have a unique web domain, we perform a non-invasive perimeter security scan at the time of quoting and provide a complimentary Security Report with cyber insights, industry data, and security recommendations designed for brokers to easily communicate to clients.
Since one-time security scans don’t capture the dynamic nature of cyber threats or IT changes, we also provide our Active Risk Monitoring services throughout the policy period at no additional cost, continuously scanning the digital assets of our insureds to detect security issues commonly exploited by attackers.
When new vulnerabilities arise, our in-house Security team immediately issues a security alert to brokers and their affected clients to provide recommendations on how to resolve the issue.
API Auto-Quotes Help Brokers Unlock More Business
At-Bay’s Admitted Cyber API allows for seamless integration across multiple partner environments and offers a fully digital experience from quote to bind. Brokers, multi-carrier platform providers, and other distribution partners can now better serve small businesses with Cyber coverage from At-Bay.
Our Admitted quoting process has a streamlined application with only six questions. It’s designed to generate bindable auto-quotes — or automatically decline risks that don’t meet our appetite or security requirements — in less than 30 seconds, without the need for underwriter intervention. This allows brokers to quickly and efficiently place smaller admitted risks, freeing them up to focus on more complex surplus risks with higher premium opportunities.
